Product description: Meridia (Sibutramine Hydrochloride Monohydrate) is a diet pill used to treat obesity. It is usually prescribed to people who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher. Meridia is to be used along with a weight loss diet, regular exercise and other behaviour changes. Sibutramine (Meridia) is an appetite suppressant. It accomplishes this by acting on two chemicals in the brain (neurotransmitters), Serotonin and Norepinephrine, which affect mood and appetite. Appetite suppressants are not a substitute for proper diet. If any weight is lost using Meridia, our research shows that it is usually regained shortly after the patient discontinues the medication.
Side effects: Meridia has caused different side effects like headaches, dry mouth, insomnia, constipation, increased sweating, increased blood pressure and an increase in heart rate.
The Weight Loss Institute is not recommending Meridia due to the reported
side effects. This product is not sold by the Weight Loss Institute.
